2 - The selected heat pump model

A heat pump extracts heat from the air or ground to heat your home. There are mainly:

• air-to-air heat pumps,
• geothermal heat pumps.

Air-to-air heat pumps

• Air-to-air heat pump: it provides heating and can also cool the air in summer.
• Air-to-water heat pump: it feeds a central heating circuit (radiators or underfloor heating) and can replace a traditional boiler.

Geothermal heat pumps

These systems harness heat from the ground via horizontal or vertical sensors. They offer excellent efficiency, particularly suited for cold climates.

3 - The mode of operation and power

The price also depends on the power needed to properly heat your home and the type of existing sanitary installation.

• Geothermal installations represent the most expensive option, mainly due to the capture work.

The more technical the installation (deep drilling, difficult access terrain, integration into underfloor heating), the higher the investment will be.
